Karen is a community advocate, experienced professional, and candidate for the State House in Legislative District 4.
I am a third-generation Arizona native and have deep roots in the state. I attended public schools and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a degree in Accountancy. After working as a CPA, I retired to raise my three sons.
Since then, I have volunteered my time in classrooms, fundraising, coaching, working on campaigns, and for various charitable organizations with the goal of creating a better Arizona. Having lost my mother at a young age to Leukemia, I have been committed to volunteering for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (now Blood Cancer United), fighting for public education, and advocating for public policy issues at the State and Federal levels.
As a second-term member of the Madison Elementary School District governing board, I know what Arizona schools, teachers, and students need. I am deeply passionate about public education and ready to deliver results to everyday Arizonans at the state legislature
